We are closer than ever to the days as prophesied in the words of Paul in II Timothy 3:1,  “perilous  times shall come”. My friends, perilous times are here! As such, we should be about our Master’s business to reach the last of the lost. Listen to this…

Last year, around this time, we embarked on a vision that the Lord left to our responsibility.  We now call it the, “Neighbourhood Mail Campaign”. As we advertised out to you last year, in September, we offered to mail out tracts to every home at your request. You responded. I began to get calls. I received a flood of interest from you wanting to reach the lost with these tracts! The concern was, how do we get them into their hands? Using the Neighbourhood Mail Campaign, we began to use Canada Post to place a tract in every mailbox in your towns and cities across Canada. From Nova Scotia to New Brunswick, P.E.I., Quebec, Southern and Northern Ontario, and all the way to areas in B.C., including Nanaimo on Vancouver Island! Tracts were placed in every mailbox as admail by Canada Post mail carriers! Toronto West received about 30,000 tracts. Montreal, received more than 30,000 tracts in Dorval and Boucherville and area, and we continued to receive a flood of orders. Towns all across Alberta received tens of thousands of tracts. Half of the northern geographical area of Manitoba has been covered in tracts. And then there is Nunavut. I received a call from a dear customer and fellow labourer with the charge to complete the whole territory in one shot…8884 tracts to every little town and village and inlet of that great frozen northern habitation. All this to the glory of God who is giving the inhabitants of Canada one more chance to receive Him. Now, less than a year into this program, we have surpassed a quarter million tracts delivered into every mailbox across this great country of ours. Would you like to join us? There’s not much time left and there is much work left to do!

Oh Canada! We stand on guard for thee! So far, we have seen many tracts go out, from coast to coast to coast of Canada, and have spoken to many of our dear distribution soldiers who continue to consistently work and earn their crowns for their Lord! May the Lord bless you as you continue to be faithful!

God has been very good to us here at the bookstore, day by day, but we must not allow ourselves to lag in the work of the Lord. We must return our focus to the battle at hand; the days are growing ever darker and the shadows are growing longer to the coming return of our Saviour. The return of our focus means to be awake and aware, be sober-minded, and know your enemy!

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” I Peter 5:8

Who are being devoured? Those who are not watching and have become dull in their hearing and knowledge. We do not attain unto this only for ourselves, but for our protection and for that of our families, and those of the flock around us. But, what if they will not listen? As I taught my children: “Say…leave…pray!” Who are our enemies? Are they only the ones outside, as our pastors warn us of, or are they also inside our own circles inside the church? I believe the ones inside are harder to recognize, but they are there and the Bible warns us of them. We know what is outside, but what about inside? Do we know what is seeping inside? The outside is seeping in! If we do not recognize it and do not stop it, it will continue to seep in and fill the place up. Then, it will not look any different than the outside. Now is the time to make our stand against the worldliness carried in by our brethren! We must warn them and, yes, Pastors, rebuke them, as Paul taught Titus.

“This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;” Titus 1:13

The question is, if we were standing in front of Lot’s door in his day, what would we have observed? The Bible says, the end time, which is now, will look the same as in Lot’s day. So, what signs can we see in the church to find it is changing? Using the senses God has given us, quite simply, we can see changes in modesty, we can hear the sound of the music changing, we can we can read the standard of scripture changing from God centered to man centered. In all, we can see God’s Words constantly being challenged and compromised by men’s philosophies. Changes are in the wind my friends and the church is becoming harder to recognize.


Changes in Dress

In Deuteronomy 22:5 we can read what God cares about pertaining to dress. There has always been a certain distinction between what the men wore and what the women wore. They did not wear the same things as each other and, therefore looked differently.

“The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.” Deut. 22:5

Without getting into a big argument, what does the verse say? It says God desires there should be a difference between what men and women look like. We better get this right, because if we do not, someone could become an abomination to God. We would never want that! So, do we become more unisex in the matter or should we be sure to distance ourselves away from the world’s standard? Around the 1970’s and ’80’s, I remember the men of the world would only ever dare to wear one earring; one in the left if you were not sodomite, or one on the right if you were. The only ones who would wear both were openly transvestite at that time. Why is that different today where even some professing Christian boys will openly wear two earrings, for instance? Also, today, some professing Christian women will get extremely angry and aggressive if you even dare to mention their dress, no matter how inappropriate. Does God care? Of course he does! He said so. He wants men and women to be holy and distinct!


Changes In Music

When we look at the Bible and listen to what it has to say, it says not to love the world or else the love of the Father is not in you, (1 John 2:15). That is tough language, but God wrote that! In the context of worldly music, if we look up the verse in I Corinthians 14:10, it tells us that all “voices” are significant. The word root of “signification” is, signal or sign and denotes communication of some sort.

“There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification. ” I Cor. 14:10

“And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.” Exodus 19:6 

“For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?” I Cor. 14:8 

That means, when you hear a voice of any sort, whether from the throat or harp or pipe or trumpet, they all have a meaning and language; a message to tell you – even without words. Read the verse in Exodus again. It clearly tells us that every song, speaking specifically about music without words, has a voice, or a message. So, what is the music teaching you? Could the music you are listening to have a dangerous message that will harm a healthy spirit? And, v.8 says if the music gives the wrong sound it is questionable whether the warriors will get up to fight and defend! Worse than that, if the signal is given to go to sleep, will the enemy not creep in unawares? We are to watch and be sober minded!

“For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” Jude 1:4

How will we defend ourselves from the foe? Do we even care if we have a foe anymore? Is your foe dangerous and seeking to destroy you? What about our children or our grandchildren? What if they end up lost for eternity because of our complacency, because we did not fight for the truth? Sobering questions indeed! Compare your popular Christian music with the world’s pop music. Is there a distinct difference in the music? There should be!


Changes In Scripture   

I have been hearing a lot of arguments against whether the words in the King James are perfect words. Many of the usual arguments come up, such as the mistranslation of Easter, whether the italics are God’s Words, whether the translators believed their work was inspired and preserved by God, and many other easily explained away objections. Are you saved from the eternal fires of Hell today? How do you know? Quite frankly, the truth is, as an English reader your salvation does not exist if they are not God’s perfect words. In fact, if you do not believe, by faith, that God’s words are perfect and infallible you cannot be saved, because it is only through God’s words that His promises are made perfect. He is subject only to His Word! I bring this challenge in love: either you believe God can do this by faith, or you are living in doubt. What does God’s Word say?

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Heb. 11:6

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Rom 10:17

Either you believe every word, because salvation must come by His Word, or you doubt His words and doubt His eternal doctrines. No amount of fancy explanations using non-existent manuscripts will account for your salvation in the day of judgment. You must believe in Jesus Christ by faith alone, just as His Word says.


The view from Lot’s front door is looking a lot less shocking than a few years ago, a decade ago, a generation ago. Why? We are allowing the world to seep in a little more than we did back then with excuses such as, “well, I never agreed with them on that”, and so on. Such short memories we have! But our short memories will cause the death and destruction of the old path saints who are not willing to compromise. Whether our view from the front door yields us to observe more slackness concerning dress standards, let us remember God’s standard to be distinct from each other as men and women. Or, whether our music placed side by side with the world cannot show a distinction, let us cast it out with all malice! And let us trust in the Lord God and Him only let us serve. He is subject to His Word. Should not we be? Or, have we set ourselves above His Word? Judge ye in yourselves.  As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. ~R.

    It’s sad to know that today so many Christian do NOT understand your message . They believe that there is no need to be different, as long as you love god , and as long as they use Christian words in you songs .
