“So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.” Rev. 17:3

It is said that politics make strange bedfellows. Upon contemplation of a one-world church as prophesied in Revelation some may be lead to think, Catholics and Muslims? Together? Whatever would they have in common? They would definitely make strange bedfellows! But, would they really? After a closer look at their belief systems it becomes clear they hold dear some extremely important common interests. Most people well know the Catholic Church’s position on Mary, but may not know what Islam teaches about her as well. After a closer study into Islam, you may be surprised how many mentions we find of the virgin Mary.

Who Is Maryam?

Did you know the Qur’an actually commands the Muslim to hold Mary above all women? Firstly, we find Mary is mentioned no less than 34 times in the Koran [1]. This sheer number of times she is mentioned shows that the Muslim must reverence her as more than just another woman. In fact, the title of Surah 19 is, “Maryam” or Mary. This must lead one to wonder, how much does Islam really hold the Catholic’s holy mother in reverence? Further proof lies in the Qur’an, which specifically imposes the reverence all Muslims must have for Mary as she is chosen above all women. This is stated in the Qur’an,

“Behold! the angels said: Oh Mary! Allah has chosen you and purified you – chosen you above the women of all nations.” Surah 3:42

After considering this evidence it does not take a great deal of imagination to envision how possible it is for the Catholic Church, who obviously worship Mary and venerate her as a deity, and Muslims will be drawn together in the end to become united into the one world religion. But, not only are Muslims to believe the words of their holy books, but also through visible signs and symbols.

Signs and Wonders From Allah?

History shows greater numbers of Muslims now venerate Mary through apparitions and in fact have become ecumenical in their beliefs. Muslims continue to make more pilgrimages to the Our Lady of Fatima Shrine in Portugal where one of the most well documented apparitions of Mary took place after being seen by over 70,000 people at once on October 13, 1917. For the Muslims, Fatima holds a special allure. After all, it was the name one of the three daughters of Muhammad. Why would the Muslims not gravitate toward this as a sign of Allah if commanded to do so? Also, at the Marian apparition at Zeitun, near Cairo, Egypt. According to reports, the first apparition was recorded on the evening of April 2, 1968, when a Muslim bus mechanic named Farouk Mohammed Atwa, who worked across the street from the church, thought he saw a woman attempting suicide by jumping from the building. Since then, millions of people from far and near over a period of about three years have witnessed seeing the brightly lighted woman bowing at a cross and acknowledging the gathering at the church with claims of “great numbers of healings and miracles” following. (For more, see the book, “Queen of Rome, Queen of Islam, Queen of All”, available here at Christ The Way Bookstore)

Clearly, as we will see, the Qur’an commands the Muslim to follow after Allah’s signs and wonders. It is well known how the Catholics venerate Mary, but after learning how often Mary is mentioned in the Qur’an, as contained in the Muslims’ own “immutable” holy book, and that they are commanded by their book to hold Mary above all women, and then commanded to prove Allah by their reliance in signs and wonders, we can begin to realize it is not so unfathomable for the two to join together in a one world religion such as the one prophesied in God’s Word. Consider this: the Qur’an teaches Allah will prove himself in signs and symbols. The Qur’an states,

“Thus do We explain the Signs by various symbols: that they may say, ‘you have taught us diligently’, and that We may make the matter clear to those who know” Surah 6:105; and

“Praise be to Allah, Who will soon show you His Signs, so that you shall know them;…” Surah 27:93

In fact, if the Catholic Church is worshipping a different god, and not the one of Abraham Isaac and Jacob, then there really is no difference at all. They are, in fact, worshipping the same god – the Catholics with their false Christ, one transubstantiated (changing one a substance into another, ie.: the Eucharistic wafer into Jesus body) by a sinful man at Mass, and the Muslims’ False Prophet, both ideals of which are joined together by a woman who rides the Beast. God’s Word states this will occur in the end times,

“For there shall arise false Christs, and False Prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” Matthew 24:24

In truth, many more evidences may be used to prove that the Catholics and Muslims are quite a bit closer than the first glance may indicate, but I believe the question no longer exists, ‘Strange Bedfellows’ does not apply in this case.

Muslims are “brothers” to Roman Catholics. Since we worship “THE SAME GOD.” —BUT—Jesus is BEGOTTEN and Allah is NOT –So Roman Catholics —LIE —- Allah and Jehovah-Elohim are NOT the same. and since the office of the inquisition was never closed—look out they are after Christs saints,
